About Dana Stickley

Many Voices, One Community

As a lifelong St. Joseph resident and fierce advocate for our community, I want bring light to our existing strengths, put people first, and represent all voices.

Government as Representation

I believe in a government that looks like, listens to, and represents the people it serves. It is time for new voices at the table, and I plan to uplift as many voices as I can as your city council member.

“What we can focus on as a City Council is continuing to make Saint Joseph an attractive place to live. We need places that are affordable to live. We need childcare that is accessible to people. We need early childhood education. I’m your neighbor. I’m a social worker. I’m a mom. I care about our community and I want to continue to be a part of the growth.”

Strengths-based thinking: what can we build upon?

With a Master’s degree and 10+ years in social work, my thinking is deeply shaped by a strengths-based approach and a people-first mindset. I have seen first hand the impact that social issues can have on a community, and how making changes and creating more supports can improve the quality of life for St. Joseph residents.
